Bathing Baby Tips
Let’s talk all things bathing your baby: do’s, don’ts, needs, and don’t needs.
Newborn Needs and Do’s:
- bath system: Moby sling, lotus flower pillow, or anything to help hold them above water
- tear free shampoo/soap
- towel: hooded or not (hooded are my absolute fav)
- must make sure the water is very lukewarm - this may feel cold to you, so a temperature reading dinosaur or other toy might be helpful to make sure it isn’t too hot.

Newborn DON’t's:
- Don’t bathe their skin more than needed
- Try to bathe when they are already overtired
Newborn Things to Remember:
- Very easily overstimulated
- Very fragile skin and eyes
- Try to keeps baths very short
- Will most likely pee or poop in the bath or right after (all over you :))
- Can play some quiet relaxing music to help keep environment calm
- Take pictures - these moments don’t last long
